“Brittany Smetana-Eby is a Cheyenne native of 35 years. She got her start with Rooted in Cheyenne as a sponsor with her company Goalz Restaurant Group (who owns and operates Dog Haus and Applebee’s) about 2 years ago. She loves being involved in the community and believes that the work Rooted in Cheyenne does with planting trees is essential to the city of Cheyenne and the environment. Brittany is looking forward to learning more about the different types of trees within our community and the benefits they all have.
When she isn’t working, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband Shawn, and their two sons Ryder and Branson. They enjoy camping, traveling, live music, and exploring Wyoming. Brittany’s favorite tree is the Bur Oak ‘Quercus macrocarpa’, which is adaptable to various different soils, and is one of the toughest of all the oaks. It has the added benefit of the leaves turning brown & gold in the fall!”
