ENSURING EQUITABLE PLANTING

Rooted & Branching Out is a community-focused initiative designed to expand the benefits of trees to neighborhoods with limited tree canopy and greater environmental needs.

Through this program, eligible residents receive up to two free street trees, planting services, and ongoing support to help their tree thrive. By removing financial barriers to planting, Rooted & Branching Out helps ensure that every neighborhood can enjoy the many benefits trees provide, including cleaner air, lower energy costs, increased property values, stormwater management, and more beautiful, livable streets.

The program is about more than planting trees—it is about growing stronger, healthier communities. Each tree planted helps create shade for future generations, strengthens neighborhood resilience, and contributes to a greener Cheyenne for years to come.

Working alongside homeowners, volunteers, community partners, and sponsors, Rooted & Branching Out is helping cultivate a more equitable urban forest where every resident has the opportunity to experience the lasting impact of trees.
