Tree Hauler
The Road to a Greener Cheyenne Starts Here.
Tree Haulers are the logistics heroes of planting day. By transporting trees, tools, mulch, and supplies to planting locations, they make it possible for volunteers to focus on what they do best—planting trees and improving our community.
This role is perfect for individuals, businesses, contractors, and organizations that have access to a truck and trailer and want to make a visible, meaningful impact during a Rooted in Cheyenne planting event.
Each Tree Hauler is paired with a Crew Leader who provides all planting expertise, volunteer coordination, and on-site guidance. Your primary responsibility is helping get the right materials to the right place at the right time.
What You’ll Do
- Use your truck and trailer to transport trees, tools, and supplies between event staging areas and planting sites.
- Support a designated Crew Leader throughout the event.
- Help load and unload trees and materials as needed.
- Serve as a key point of contact for logistical needs during the planting event.
- Help ensure crews have the supplies they need to keep planting.
What We’re Looking For
- Access to a truck and trailer capable of hauling trees and equipment.
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving practices.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to support your assigned crew.
- A passion for helping improve Cheyenne’s urban forest.
A Unique Opportunity for Local Businesses
If you’re using a company truck or trailer, your participation can also showcase your business’s commitment to the community. Your vehicle becomes a visible part of a citywide effort to plant trees, support neighborhoods, and improve Cheyenne’s future.
Tree Haulers travel between planting sites and staging areas throughout the event, providing natural visibility for company branding while demonstrating community leadership and environmental stewardship.
Why It Matters
Every successful planting crew depends on having trees and supplies where they need them, when they need them. As a Tree Hauler, you’ll play a critical role while partnering with a Crew Leader who handles volunteer management and planting instruction.
You bring the wheels, we’ll provide the trees, and together we’ll help Cheyenne grow.
